CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Zaki Design Group seeks economic growth linked to medium and long-term sustainable development, contributing to the respect for people, environment, communities, and artistic heritage. These principles, which have always been part of the Group’s activities, find expression in corporate culture, relations with institutions and industry associations, with supply chain partners, and in cultural projects supporting the communities in the areas where it is present; intends to significantly contribute to a path of sustainability through the development of practices and values among the main stakeholders.

PLANET

Unsustainable consumption is stretching our planet’s resources to their limits. It’s time for a radical rethink. Thus, together with our partners from the entire industry, we’ll innovate, explore the latest technologies and use our pioneering spirit to be part of the solution. Because we want to lead by example, we will never ask our customers or partners to do anything we have not already committed ourselves to.

Zaki Design Group is committed to reducing its environmental impact as much as possible. We believe that “less bad“ isn’t good enough anymore. Only net-zero will do.

However, we still face obstacles. There is no industry-wide definition of what constitutes sustainable fashion. This lack of global standards results in brands and retailers using broad and often conflicting language, which leads to customer confusion. In the meantime, we are taking bold action to ensure that we highlight the different benefits of our growing sustainability assortment and make it easy for customers to make more sustainable purchasing decisions.

ENVIRONMENT

Being well aware of its responsibility toward future generations has consistently run its business in harmony with the places where it operates and with respect for the environment, to promote virtuous behaviors that contribute to sustainable growth and are examples of good practice for the entire industry. Constantly committed to reducing its environmental impact both within the organization, by constantly raising staff awareness, and with third parties working with the Group, to fight climate change and to protect biodiversity and marine environments. To contribute to this global goal, we have measured its Carbon Footprint as a first step in a longer path undertaken for the progressive reduction of emissions directly related to its operations and those caused by the upstream and downstream activities of the value chain. Reducing land take, renovating existing structures, and working toward building requalification have inspired the decisions.
